Not a complete loss

As I continue to dig in every file on my computer, and Adam works on the old, we are finding many photos.

I can't imagine having lost them all. Ugh. Does anyone know of a good place to upload ALL your pics w/o limits? My picasa web album is almost full, and it's probably only 5% of all my pictures. Otherwise... what do I do? Print them all off and burn cd's? Help!

Last words

This is what I found on the dresser of my grandmothers bedroom.
She is with Jesus now.
And yes... I will see you soon Grandma. We have not seen the last of eachother.
Till then...

3 months home today

Here are a few of the photos we received while waiting...

I can clearly remember the pain. It hurt, and I was longing. I still can't believe that I can kiss their faces and snuggle them tight every day now. Hang in there to those waiting. Your time will come. Congrats to everyone in our adoption agency that recently passed court! Swift travels, and the Lord's peace as you wait.

External Hard Drive

Yes, I did have one. That's why I didn't burn CD's of my pics. However, the external hard drive is not functioning, along with the computer. From now on I will upload every photo to my Picasa web album. Adam was here again this morning trying to get my photos off the old computer. It seems like they are there, he's going to have to make a 4th attempt after the weekend. If anyone can save this situation, it's Adam aka Uncle Vede.

Computer Problems?

My bro-in-law will save you! He's gifted in this. He knows computers.

Here's his site.

Oh the loss...

I seem to have lost many, many years of pics. My computer died. My bro-in-law (who rocks) is trying to get back anything he can. I am a girl who takes literally a thousand or more pics a month. I am slightly grieving right now. Of all the pictures I have... I have this most bizarre one of me. I think it's from a road trip to the UP MI. Oh. Oh. Oh.
Pray that all will be recovered! It's been my hobby, and my documentation of our lives.

Aunt Holly

Reed is passing out the kisses. Aunt Holly was a lucky recipient. Yes, the band aid is covering a ringworm spot. But since that photo, we seem to be clear and 100% healthy! I don't think either Holly or Reed cared about it anyway.... they were just sharing the love.

Plans

We've been busy... it's strange. We've had visitors, and been going out. It's a learning curve, and good. Here are some pics from when our friends the Baileys came by. They are just starting the adoption process, and it was fun to share stories.
The kids get a bit funky after social "events" but I think the timing is ok to move things ahead. It's so great to share our 4 beautiful children with others.

Going to church

I don't feel like writing now, but here is the pic from this Sunday, headed for church.

Much more on this, and more, later.

Bad Movie... etc.

As a family we do not watch TV or movies, most of the time. We do let the kids watch some videos, and Jeff and I are big fans of "Planet Earth" DVD's which you can never watch too many times. We feel that is our way of keeping our minds on things lovely and pure, and guarding our hearts.

I have been hearing about a movie about adoption for awhile, watched part of the trailer and had to shut it off it was so disturbing to me. Here is a tangible way to stand up against it. If you tend to promote Hollywood by watching it, and spending $ on it, please consider for every negative thing you watch - write someone, stand up against it, and don't silently give your blessing to it.

Here's a start. www.orphansdeservebetter.org

I know there is a good magazine on this topic as well that some friends of ours get. I think it's ... um, if you are that friend, can you leave it in a post? Or I'll track it down. I'd like a subscription myself.

Fathers Day

Jeff with his sons and daughters.

I am biased, but I think this is a pretty beautiful crowd-

inside and out.

Our computer was killed in a burst of lightning during a storm last weekend. We bought a laptop, but I'm not used to it's ways. We are still seeing if we will recover all our stuff. I'm praying all my pics are still around. We've been busy with the kids, house, and planning J's company. I may be slow at answering emails and calls for awhile. We have several TO-DO lists that are occupying all our time (all our "free" time, when the kids are sleeping). I'll try to slap some posts up when I can though.

10 weeks home baby!

Just hanging out! Lots of fun, many challenges, and overall fantastic. We have opened ourselves up to close friends coming by, and have plans to go to church in a week. Not our church (sorry Corinth friends) but Jeff's parents church, b/c a good friend is giving his testimony and we don't want to miss it! Still laying low, but feeling like breaking the world in bit by bit.

The Amazing Gracie

Gwen keeps calling Alem "Grace" THEE AMAZING GRACIE" like a circus act or something. It's so sweet. Little Alemnesh Grace brings SO much joy to our house. She laughs much, and entertains us often. It's not hard to love this little daughter.
